South African Democratic Alliance DA to handle the ongoing unemployment crisis in SA by introducing some new plan in Gauteng. Because according to them the Province of Gold needs a government which can offer jobs in the market, as the other provinces in the country are doing.

They will work to provide various opportunities to the youths, help them in finding employment, develop various skills in them, and play an effective role in the economic development of South Africa. DA will implement proposals with different measures that will be implemented for the economic development.

An important intervention to make the youths in SA start working by implementing the Youth Wage Subsidy. But this is not the complete end for the unemployment crisis, it is just an initiative for the youths. It will help to some extent the 5.6 million unemployed young South Africans to achieve proper work experience, share their skills, and provide productive employment.

Other proposal would include an opportunity voucher scheme for the eligible youngster’s. The adults who want to start their own business or continue their further education will also be benefitted with the scheme.

A comprehensive government internship program will be introduced across all the departments which will include interns hired on the basis of 6 months contract at a rate of R 1200 per month.

DA will also introduce a nation wide bursary scheme to help 50,000 academically talented learners who belong to families with lower income  to acquire high quality schooling education and in turn expand the program which can produce 20,000 learners each year by 2015.

The DA will make their best efforts that the amount spent behind providing best training, including the schemes administered to the employer’s are matching the market demands or not. This policy would replace the central and ineffective SETA system. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will be expanded to provide full economic help to cover tuition, books, accommodation and maintenance stipend to all the qualifying students.
